International Students Needed for Study on Learning Chinese through Interactive Technology

Hsieh Cheng-Yi is currently conducting research on assisting international students in Taiwan with learning Chinese through interactive technology and is seeking eligible participants to join the study.

Research objectives

The objective of this research is to explore the potential benefits of an original Chinese vocabulary learning app for international students in Taiwan.

Participants will be asked to use the app to learn Chinese vocabulary for approximately one week, followed by completing learning outcome assessment questionnaires.

Compensation

Participant will receive NT$200 gift card as a token of appreciation.

Who can participate?

Inclusion criteria

1. Individuals currently enrolled in a university in Taiwan as international students.

Exclusion criteria

1. Individuals whose native language is Chinese, Cantonese, or any other language closely related to Chinese.
2. Individuals unable to physically attend some sessions conducted at National Taipei University of Technology (required at least one day).
3. Individuals unable to communicate effectively or complete the questionnaire in basic English.
